We had friends come to town with their children ages 5, 7, and 9. We decided on a hike up to Horsetooth Rock. Everyone enjoyed the beautiful views and besides the 5 year old, all made it to the rock!!!

An easy trip from downtown. Plenty of hiking options, kayaking,and picnicking. Lovely scenic vistas and occasional wild life.

I love running the trails, watching the sunrise/sunset, walking the dog, paddleboarding and kayaking. It is an all season place! Tremendous views, it is hard to belive such a gorgeous place is so close to town

There are picnic tables along the east side of the reservoir at several spots. Go to Larimer County website for more info.

Hi Deb, They have all types of trails here at Horsetooth from easy to strenuous. You might want to stop at the trails just east of the main entrance by the boat launch. They have some of the best trail maps I have seen... More
