There was nothing we didn't enjoy about this visit--from the scenic drive to get there to the museum itself. The way they present the cars "up close and personal" is unlike nearly every car museum you may have visited. You can walk completely around nearly all of them, housed in a adobe-style buildiing that itself is stunning. These are American... More

The collection is amazing, you cannot compare the online virtual tour to actually being there; it was beyond words how beautiful this priceless car collection is!!!

As the spouse of a car enthusiast, and having visited The Henry Ford multiple times, I was pleasantly surprised at how much I enjoyed this museum. Amazing collection! All the items are beautifully displayed. Truly the history of the automobile. The drive getting there is breath taking as well! However, the road can be hard to navigate during severe thunder... I'm not normally a car buff, but my friends wanted to go, so I went along. I found it surprisingly interesting. The cars are presented in time-sensitive rooms (so a diner is in the corner with the '50s cars, etc.), and the colors of the cars really pop. I'm really glad I went in and even look at classic cars... More

If you enjoy old cars this stop is for you!! Cars range in age from early 1900s to modern NASCAR race cars. The collection also has the " F88" a concept car that never saw production. Well worth the visit.

Took a motorcycle ride intending to do Gateway Canyon, but stopped here for a bite at the hotel and thought, "why not do the museum?" Thinking it would be some podunk kind of thing way out here in nowhere land, but turns out it is a world-class museum of fully restored cars from the US and the world. Some cars... More

The drive from Grand Junction to Gateway was our 2nd favorite scenic drive. The first place drive was from Moab back up to the interstate on Rt 128(I think that is the number-it is the road on the east side of the Arches National Park, UT). The museum is in the middle of this resort. We actually didn't see the... More

I have to admit I am not a car buff. My mom and I drove down for the day to Gateway to enjoy lunch and the museum. The Collection is superb and presented well. I'm sure because of the location the museum is not crowded and feels very intimate. The quality of the collection is truly unbelievable. Despite the numerous... More
