You will see real dinosaur tracks here and other fossils preserved in the sandstone walls surrounding this area. Not well-signed, however, so you have to work to find this place! Fun experience and worth the time to see it.

I like to take friends with kids here. The trail is super easy and has a lot of fun stops to observe fossils and learn about the history of the area. It is short and can be done in about 30 minutes from parking to...More

It took us a little bit to find the entrance to the trail, but once we did we were glad we walked it. We visited after we'd done the guided tour on Dinosaur Ridge, which helped us know a little bit more about what we...More

The animal and plant imprints from the Jurassic or whenever are well labeled. Ho hum unless you happen to be interested in that time frame.

This place is a wonderful place to take kids that have any interest in dinosaurs. It gives you a nice place to get outdoors and see things that you would not be able to otherwise. This is a must see while in the area.

Unfortunately construction near the trail had them open up a temporary trailhead. We tried going that way instead but it was frankly an overgrown dirt trail that felt more like walking on the side of a road so we turned back.

Doesn't take long to finish this short and easy trail, but it offers some interesting features. A small gorge cuts into the rock formation revels some geollogical features.

this was a good trail to take my 3 kids (age 3-12) on. Was not too bad of a walk but can be difficult to get to since the normal start of the trail is underconstruction to widen the highway. But the actual dinosaur tracks...More

We did a combo: Dinosaur Ridge and Triceratops Trail later. If you go see one you should go see the other. If you are big on dinosaurs and/or geology I would add in the Morrison Museum. All three sites tell a paleontological and geological story...More
