I went with my 7 year old and she had a great time! I would recommend going when the houses are open and volunteers are in character. Makes it so much better!

Loved visiting this museum. It does a wonderful job showing the history of the city and the area. Especially liked talking with the "Cookie" who kept the fire going and the beans and bacon cooking at the chuck wagon exhibit.

had an amazing afternoon here. the staff was very friendly. They have taken very good care of the property. We are a homeschool family and they spent extra time answering questions. My children will remember this experience and the people that volunteer to run this museum for a lifetime.

We took our grandson to a special event at the Village (Pets & Popscicles) this month and were once again wowed with all the old buildings, equipment and history of the place. We were able to tour several of the buildings we had not seen before, like the Monfort home. Our grandson, who is 6, enjoyed the displays, stories (his... More

Houses from different periods of history. And don't forget the home of Rattelsnake Kate. Individuals in period clothes. Much to see!

I'll admit I wasn't sure what to expect when I pulled into the parking lot at Centennial Village. I've been to similar attractions in Nebraska, Montana, and Wyoming. They have ranged from well kept to falling apart. Centennial Village was very well kept by its staff. Although some of the buildings were closed to the public, they were very presentable.... More

The museum is open Fridays and Saturdays only. We visited on a Friday in July, and were almost the only ones there. Costumed guides outnumbered visitors. We were able to visit every building, even the locked ones, because we were accompanied by a guide. We were able to compare notes with the retired Lutheran pastor of Swedish extraction, and felt... We visited here on a cold and rainy fall day and the "museum" -- essentially an outdoor grouping of period houses and buildings requiring walking out doors among them -- was sparsely visited. We had an informative tour from a guide assigned to our party of 5 who talked about the citizens of the town in bygone times. You can... More
