On our way up to Breckenridge for a quick weekend getaway, we stopped in Idaho Springs and decided to check out Argo Gold Mine. What a great place for families! My husband and I, along with our three young boys, had a wonderful time learning about the history of mining in Idaho Springs. Ernie, our tour guide, was very entertaining... More

I took my 3 year old daughter on St. Patrick's Day and she loved it! Our tour guide, Walter, was amazing! He was so knowledgeable and passionate about the mill and its history. He made sure my daughter was included and having a good time. I would definitely recommend the Argo tour for people of all ages!

The place is frozen in time and evokes a great sense of history of the gold rush. Kenny our tour guide was great. If you ha e the interest and the time give yourself 5 hours to do the tour, enjoy the museum and master the art of panning for gold. Would do it again.

We spent a really nice afternoon at the mill and gold mine. Our tour guide Kenny was knowledgeable and his enthusiasm made the visit a real success. Panning for gold at the end of the visit was an added bonus. I would definitely recommend this tour if you are in the region.

If you want to learn something about the period of gold mining in the state of colorado, it's a cool place to visit. People who enjoy looking at antiques and antique machinery will enjoy it as well. Kenny was an excellent tour guide, big thanks to him.

The Argo Mill and Museum is a great experience and informative. We come to Winter Park each year to ski and have gone by the mine year after year, always saying we needed to stop and check it out. Well, we finally did it this year and now we wonder why we didn't do it sooner. We arrived not knowing... More

My family went on this tour. The tour operators are great they are kid friendly. We were there in February. It was definitely cold and part of the tour is a walking tour outside. It is exposed to the elements so dress appropriately. I learned a lot about an amazing time in gold rush history. I also learned a lot... More
