If you like Red Rocks, you will like Roxborough State Park. One of many good reasons to buy an annual park pass. Different difficulty levels of hiking make this a perfect place for a brisk stroll or a climb up a mountain trail. The various...More
This is a wonderful place to hike especially with children. During a hike some children came across a snake which they believed to be a Rattlesnake. Upon approaching the snake I knew it was a Bull Snake. Due to my prior experience with reptiles I...More
Gorgeous part of the country. The red rock formations are simply awe inspiring. Backs up to Pike’s Peak National Forest. And after the visit head to Arrowhead Golf Course where you can get a great meal & carry on enjoying the views.

There is not a tram ride around the park. For older visitors, you might try the Fountain Valley Trail - that is considered one of the easiest, but please keep in mind this is a real hiking trail - not a paved walk. For example, this trail would be too strenuous for my 78 year-old dad who can only walk very short distances and needs to be on flat paved surfaces.
