It's always a good day for a soak in the clear warm waters of the Ouray Hot Springs Pool! The hot springs of Ouray have been enjoyed since at least the 14th century when native Ute Indians used the naturally hot clear water for healing. Settlers came to the area in the late 1800's in search of gold and precious minerals, and many found comfort in the natural hot springs. The current swimming pool was constructed in the 1920's and has been a favorite destination ever since. Seven different springs supply the pool with water. At the source some of this water is 150 degrees! The pool consists of several sections maintained at different temperatures for different tastes. The hot section is approximately 104 degrees, and a soaking section, perfect for families and prolonged soaking, is typically 95 degrees, or so. The lap lanes and deep section are usually about 80 degrees in the summer and fall, and cooler than that in the winter months when there is snow on the ground. The Ouray Hot Springs Swimming Pool is an outdoor pool open all year. Many people enjoy the pool the most in the winter, after a day spent ice climbing, cross country skiing, snowshoeing, skating on the local ice rink (skates are available to rent at the Hot Springs Pool), or simply as a place to relax and enjoy the splendid scenery of the San Juan Mountains.

Went with a friend last night. First visit. It was only $28 for both of us. They had 3 pools open. It wasn't crowded. Well staffed. Hot showers after were appreciated. Only complaint, and I don't know if they can even do anything about it...More

We go here every year. Either summer or winter . The remodel was exciting to finally see. Lot more seating and lighting . The various pools often something for everyone. A must do while in Ouray!

We arrived around 7:00 pm and the price to get In was discounted to $14 compared to $18! Nice surprise. They had two pools open. The shallow pool had mostly kids and was not near as hot as the hot pool. It was very relaxing....More

I️ went here with a couple friends and loved it! It was pretty cold outside so the hot springs felt so nice! The changing rooms were clean and had lockers. The scenery was incredible too!

Great to soak in the different pools. Relaxing and memorable spot among the canyons. There are hot pools and also a lap pool if you want to do a swim workout. On the day we went, it was 1/2 price since one of the pools...More

In my opinion this is a much better choice than the small, claustrophobic Wiesbaden. They have a few different pools with varying temperatures to choose from. It offers great views of the mountains, and have clean showers and changing rooms and lifeguards on duty.

This is a wonderful hot springs with 3 temperature options. It is nothing fancy, no parade of celebrities. The view is fantastic. If you buy a pass (several options), it is a reasonable price. Great for families or romance.

This is a world class facility, but is overpriced for what you receive. It didn't seem very user-friendly for tourists or locals alike due to the high cost, inflexible hours, and lack of morning swimming pool availability. Locals told us that the pool was donated...More

The Hot Springs Pool is just wrapping up phase 1 of a 2 phase project. The project has been long overdue. Patrons have been crowing into the pools more and more each year. The new pool can now accommodate our growing number of visitors. Summer...More

When we were there last year they allowed us to bring in lunch and drinks. They do not allow glass containers for obvious reasons. Adults are $12 a day or you can buy punch passes and save some money to go on multiple days... More
