Thanks to the Ouray Trail Group for putting out such a detailed map of the Ouray Perimeter Trail, available at the Ouray Visitors Center, next to Ouray Hot Springs. The map details distances between stretches of this six-mile trail, which explores the city's cliffs &...More

Hiked about 15% of the perimeter trail to see the Box Canon bridge (access through tunnel) and the adjacent Twin Peaks trail. Nice trail, well marked, good views of the city and mountains surrounding Ouray.

We loved this hike! We had four in our party, ages 49,39,20 and 12. Two are in good shape and two do moderate exercise. It was great for everyone! Being able to see the town and all of its landmarks in one afternoon is perfect!...More

This hike has lots of ups and downs, some easier than others but nothing that a relatively in shape person can't handle. We did get off track but because there are several trails that go back down to the town we were able to find...More

Rugged in places but very doable if you're up for an adventure! Plenty of great places to take pictures. Be sure to grab a free map at the visitors center before you start.

This was a somewhat strenuous hike with lots ups and downs. There were some good views, but for about the same energy, the Sutton Mine trail was more scenic.
