A great late summer hike just outside town. Short enough for even the heat! And the towering waterfall was amazing.

We hiked the short hike up to the lower Cascade Falls. The trail was slippery in some spots with loose gravel, so those with issues regarding balance and ability to walk an incline may not be able to do this. It is a very short...More

This waterfall can be accessed by driving to the end of 8th street and parking, or from the perimeter trail. We hiked it from the perimeter trail, it was so pretty! It can be slippery and some of the boulders can be loose. Be sure...More

Cascade Falls Park is just outside Ouray at the east end of 8th Street. From the parking area, a short but moderately steep trail leads under a quarter mile to the base of Cascade Falls. There are seven waterfalls on Cascade Creek, but most require...More

Drive in and walk just a ways to view the falls. If you choose to hike on the rocks, be extremely careful, as they are wet and very slippery. You can reach the Perimeter trail from here. That is more strenuous and requires at least...More

Beautiful waterfall not far off the beaten path. Place to splash around and cool off. You can drive pretty close and walk only a few minutes if not up for the trail hike

A short hike that connects with Ouray Perimeter Trail. Very pretty when there has been good rain. Parking is very limited.

This is a great waterfall. We hiked to it from town but if you didn't want to hike you could drive and park. Afterwards you can catch the perimeter trail and hike it.

This is a must visit if you are in Ouray. You can hike in from different roads or trails. Nice and peaceful.

It's an outdoor space, and when I went I didn't see any signs saying they weren't. I imagine if you have them on a leash it's OK? The whole town seems pretty dog friendly.
