We've done several trail rides during this vacation, and while I'd gladly repeat any of them, the one with Crazy Horse was EASILY our favorite. The ride was perfect -- varied enough to stay interesting, never pushing the limits of either the riders or the horses. The scenery was amazing, from the ice caves to Williams Gorge. The trail guide... More

Willie had the horses saddled when we arrived. They were healthy and well-trained. Three of us could ride; one had never ridden a horse. Willie took the time to see that she felt comfortable before we set out up the mountain. The trail was easy to follow; but a beautiful ride. We took the two-hour ride to the Ice Caves.... More

We were pleased with the ride. Willy took good care of our kids when we were unable (actually unwilling) to ride too :) Be aware that this outfit is a good 35-45 minutes outside of Pagosa down forest department roads. You won't be able to go for coffee while you wait on your riders like we had planned. Piedra Falls... More

Thank you, Mel, for a beautiful ride through the mountains. I appreciated both your obvious skill and your quiet, unhurried way with the horses and my girls. The had a wonderful time and we will definitely come back! Well worth the drive out of town to ride in these beautiful mountains.

From the very first phone call I knew I had made the right decision to book our trail ride with Crazy Horse. Everyone was very nice and very helpful. We took a two hour ride with people ranging in age from 7 to 44. Cassidy did a great job pairing us up with our horses based on our previous experience... More

Whenever my husband and I travel we try to get a horseback ride in.While we are far from experienced riders, we feel It really gives you a different perspective of a place. We booked a two hour ride and it was just the two of us and Nicole our leader and guide. Who was very friendly and extremely knowledgeable about... More

they took good care of my 8 year old son when he took the 2 hour ride. I could not go because of a back problem, but he went alone and was very happy with the trip and wanted to go again.

Four of us took the ice cave tour, and our family had the trip to ourselves! I didn't expect to enjoy a rainy, fall day in the mountains so much, but thanks to some good choices in outerwear, we were all warm and comfortable. Our guide was, I think, as talkative as we wanted - he told us about the... More

Taking our teenage boy's on their first horseback ride was wonderful or as they described it "Majestic" and "Amazing." Nicole was a wonderful and very experienced guide who made our son's extremely comfortable, and took her time showing us the gorge, ice caves and even snapping a few pictures with and for us. The horses are beautiful and very well... More
