Maison La Belle Vie (French for "House of Beautiful Life") was planted 8 years ago. The first vintages from the estate winery, were introduced in 2006 and included Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah, Rosé and Muscat; a dessert wine that is traditional in the Loire Valley in France. Maison la Belle Vie has now added 3 Reserve wines, a Merlot, Syrah and Petit Verdot all aged for 4 years as well as the famous Vin de Peche; a Muscat, fortified with peaches - a recipe from John's family that has been handed down through the generations since the late 1800's. A new addition is a hand crafted walnut liquor that is simply delicious.

The winery uses a minimalist philosophy in farming and making the wines. The staff was very friendly and the wines good.

This is great place to stop and catch your breath and have a cheese plate. The tasting room was great. The best Merlot in town!

This is a winery that I know I will visit on many warm summer days. The wines are uniformly to my taste - especially the reds. They have their regular wines and their fancier versions. Lucky for me - I adore the cheaper ones. But...More

We came here before and the owner is just so great. We sampled the wines and had a glass. The owner actual remembered us from this summer. He actually took the time to sign a bottle of wine for my mothers 70th birthday party. They...More

Most wineries want to get you in, get your tasting done and get you out. That's fine if you're in a hurry. Here, you're invited to hang a while. You get your tastes in, decide what you'd like a glass or bottle of, and even...More

We stopped here to try some more traditional style wine. We liked the Rose', but the Port style wasn't something we liked. The vineyard has a great atmosphere and a beautiful patio to sit among the grape vines and enjoy a glass.

Grounds were beautiful and chatting with other visitors was great, but I have a hard time overlooking the staff's lackadaisical attitude. First host was an Aussie and provided little knowledge about the grapes or processes. Second host was pleasant but when asked about how Ports...More

Located along the Fruit and Wine Byway west of Palisade, this winery offers very good wines from their vineyards and an outstanding lunch. No choices, it is the Chauterie or nothing. A bid board full of meats, cheeses, crackers and olives with a basket of...More

I think this winery had the largest number of wines to try. There were a ton, and they were good. The interior and grounds are beautiful.
