It's beautiful place close to Agios Nikolaos, where you can see rescued birds and lots of parrots. But mainly, you get a chance to feed monkeys and lemurs, which was a highlight of our vacation. We ended up going twice in one day and than...More

We booked the amazonas park and Agios Nikolaos day trip. First stop was amazonas park which is primarily focused on endangered birds but does have some monkeys. The park is relatively small so wouldn't plan a full day here but a great way to spend...More

If you like driving - the road is amazing, the park itself is small and the monkey visit is short and somewhat scary as the moneys snatched the snacks with great force. All in all a nice visit if you tolerate the drive. We liked...More

We visited as part of an organised trip from Malia and had a lovely time. You can purchase popcorn for the macaques and fruit for the lemurs, which comes to 5 euros. You see the macaques first, but you need to keep the popcorn close...More

We visited this small zoo because my 2 year old loves animals. It was wonderful! Friendly guide, we could feed monkeys, lemurs and goats. They have lots of birds (especially parrots) since it is also a bird sanctuary. They also have turtles, a donkey, a...More
