There is a great tram...take your coat!......and it is very safe. A great tourist shop with all the stuff and wonderful fudge to boot. The staff is very friendly and the place is spotless. Plenty of parking for even the biggest rig. It's also on the continental divide.....11,304' I think. Take a break between the Pacific and Atlantic sides of... More

I was a little nervous about riding the tram, but so glad I did the views from the top where spectacular. I couldn't get enough of the view. Hiked around a bit and the staff were wonderful, So worth the ride an the money. A must do and see.

We stopped on our drive between Gunny and Salida. First time for my wife on the divide. Took a few photos, bought some souvenirs at the gift shop, then back on the road. If the tram was open we would have ridden it. Many years ago I mountain biked through here and loved the trails. We need to come back... More

This was very spectacular. The views from the top are breathtaking. Staff very friendly and helpful. Tip - borrow the loaner jackets as it was very chilly at the top. Don't forget your camera!

Found this gem on Roadtrippers! And wow, what a find! It literally took our breath away, (coming from eastern NC!) The ride to the top can be a little scary, especially with a 30 mph wind at the top, but the view is worth every bit! Be sure to make this a part of your trip if your in the... More

Felt very uncomfortable here. Not very welcoming and they are not cyclist friendly. Considering that this shop is located at the trailhead for one of the most famous mountain bike trails in the country this is too bad!

We have a few spare minutes on our drive from Colorado Springs to Gunnison. One of us from Florida and the other from Washington, this was a perfect addition to our drive. We got great pictures and felt like we were on top of the world!

We love views of mountains from the top and Monarch Scenic Tram did not disappoint! The 360 views are amazing! There was snow and wild flowers and storms in the distance. You can stay at top as long as you want as long as safe. We would have stayed longer but storm coming closer.

We went up to appease my son who wanted to ride something rather than all the National Park sight seeing and hiking we had been doing. The people were very nice and we did not have to wait. However, it is a short ride to the top so I felt like it was not really worth $10 a person when... More
