If you are an advanced skier (who likes to hike for turns) this is a mandatory trip. Very challenging terrain from one double chair! Be prepared to hike. But if you're honest with the guides about your ability and terrain choices, they will take you there. Great service from all the guides. Could not ask for more by way of... More

Silverton Mt is a unique ski experience. It is not your classic ski resort. Go here you must realize that though they have a lift you will be doing some serious hiking. But the snow and terrain is worth it

Had a legendary trip to Silverton Mtn for Heli Skiing. The staff and guides were beyond exceptional. This mtn isn't for the weak but the guides can monitor your level and adjust on the fly!

Silverton Mountain is a unique experience for the resort goer looking for something a little more adventurous. Offering heli or cat like terrain serviced by a lift and hiking is a unique experience. The staff is fun, but extremely skilled and professional. The prices for everything from the guided lift ticket to rentals to food and even beer are very... More

We were all set and ready to go. The staff was incredibly nice and professional Unfortunately the day was called off because of avalanche danger. We will definitely return I always agree with safety first. This is the real deal and the guides seem very knowledgeable.

We were visiting Durango and made the drive up to Silverton on a Wednesday for some shopping. When we arrived, we found everything closed up. We did find one restaurant open and had lunch so it wasn't entirely a bust.

Being in Silverton is very much like stepping back in time; the shops are well-stocked & lively in the summer, & there are many eating establishments & diversions, such as the Silverton railroad trip to create a lovely day! The main street is lined with shops of all sorts catering to tourists---& the original/refreshed architecture from the "Old West" (1880s,... More

We were seven guys traveling from Norway to Colorado to skii. We early decided that we had to visit Silverton Mountain. What a spesial place. The town is small and charming, and we found both comfy accommodations and food. The one lift (with no safety) takes you up the mountain, and the different groups go different places. We booked a... Beautiful mountain scenery. Foliage was changing just absolutely stunning. Enjoyed the train with breath taking views. The town of Silverton would be a place I would like to stay a few days in. I was in Durango but plan to return to Silverton when I have more time.

Drove from Durango to Silverton. The fall colors were breathtaking. The road is very, very curvy so the driver must pay attention and drive very slowly. Plan to pull out to take pictures.
