Steamboat is nice. It's expensive but they do pull off a very very well run mountain and base area. It's crazy now what a day pass costs but I have been to other resorts that charge the same but don't produce. At least Steamboat meets the standard for what they charge. The mountain is covered in lifts. That's good because... More

We moved to Steamboat Springs because of excellent skiing, not large crowds, excellent slopes for intermediates, good and excellent skiers (ok for beginners as there is some area at the bottom and soon to move up to the upper gentel slopes at the top). The great difference is that there are great tree skiing areas on the mountain that are... More

Had a blast at the 'Boat. Needed a little more snow, but it didn't diminish our fun. Would love to go back again.

I had a wonderful spa experience here at this property. The spa is smaller but it's clean, services were amazing, staff was super nice and I felt amazing. There are no additional amenities to relax in just a small waiting room.

I must preface this with the fact that I am a Steamboat High graduate who has skied here well in excess of 1000 days. All the charm has been sucked out of the resort, replaced with sullen surly employees and a disney-esque emphasis on separating their guests from every dollar imaginable. One can only hope the sale to Aspen will... More

Our first spring break skiing. Typically we stick to the beach but felt the kids were old enough to try skiing. We found a great springalicious package that was a great deal for our family of 5. We have a DD 10, DS 8 & DD 6. We planned on having the kids do ski school Tues & Wed and... More

Unfortunately the mountains were pretty darn barren but the spirit and entertainment exhibited were great! THe Nastar racing spirit was anything but dampened and the resort very accommodating.

A great ski resort for families and anyone learning to ski. Very friendly and not overwhelming. Town has some excellent restaurants. This was our second visit to teach grandkids how to ski. Affordable and fun and not overwhelming.

2017 was our 4th year to ski in Steamboat - This little ski town has done an impeccable job of catering to families that ski - from the free bus system to the quaint shops and family friendly restaurants it has started to feel like our home away from home - It is a safe and fun environment - this... This was my third time visiting this mountain. I love this mountain for its varied and challenging terrain, it's low key western feel, and I became a groupie for a small folk group who played music at the base of the mountain. The group consisted of a tall blond woman with an exquisite voice and a male guitar player. They... More
