Short hike with wonderful views. Even in the winter it is a great place to visit. Small cost to park but well worth it.

This place is amazing but BE CAREFUL especially if there’s fresh snow and ice. We walked on two trails, the trails are not that long, enjoyable scenery quite. Went there for sunrise, $5 per car to enter. Lots of fun!!!

We took a hike in the winter when the falls were frozen. Although the snow was deep, the trail was packed down enough where snow shoes were not needed. We just went to the overlook and then to the bridge at the base of the...More

Pulled up to the parking lot to see about 25 cars, in mid-february! Looked beautiful but just way too many people for our tastes.

Snow shoes recommended on literature, but not really needed. Yaktrax are sufficient. So much foot traffic that paths are packed down.

The hike even with fresh snow was a good one, and not to scary. The waterfalls at the end were frozen which was a great scene. There were a few people climbing and it was fun to watch.

Easy hike to the lower falls. Snow shoes were not needed to get to the lower falls but would be needed if going on the longer trail to the upper falls. There are some amazing views and well worth the trip if in Steamboat!

Trail is part of the Routt National Forest. I would check with them first.
