We drove from Ouray to Telluride, and the mountain scenery was magnificent. Upon arriving at the Visitor Center on Main Street, we did the free walking tour of historic buildings on and just off Main Street. We were not there to ski, and, unfortunately, the...More

The main street retains its 19th century charm. It is packed with specialty shops and good restaurants. A music festival took place while we were there. The main street was blocked and a large stage was setup for the live music. Crowd gathered around the...More

Telluride is beautiful, but be prepared for lots of traffic and little to no parking. The shops and nice and the restaurants are very good. If you can stay in Mountain Village and use the gondola as transportation to and from Telluride, you will totally...More

Plenty of things to see while you're walking downtown Telluride. safe for the kids day and night and plenty of crosswalks were traffic will stop for yo u. lots of little shops to check out as you stroll in this old western style downtown.

We visit her in both summer and winter. We just came back from skiing and have never seen the town with no snow in the winter! There are many nice stores and great restaurants. Super place to visit summer or winter.

Main Street has everything: Bars, Candy shops, Clothes shops, restaurants, weed shops for those who indulge (I didn't) and more, and it all surrounds this beautiful and majestic mountain.

Although parking is and has been, an issue, our town council chose to put bike racks on Main Street. Duh... why not put the bike racks on some side streets? It makes more sense. It’s too easy to ignore the problem when you live in...More

We enjoyed riding the gondola to town each afternoon to walk the street along the charmingly preserved western facades of this 1880s historic town. Almost all the stores and restaurants are local inspirations with just s couple of chains (Patagonia). Others are boutique or mom...More

I usually target the first of October, plus or minus a week and you'll be really close to the peak. It looks great either way.
