The main street in Telluride is a pleasure to walk.. Kept intact from earlier years the buildings are historic and a walk here is a great antidote to the hustle and bustle of a big city. Stop for a chat with the friendly locals or...More

I started coming to Telluride in the 70s before they built the Mountain Village for the rich folk. The money ran down the hill and I'd hate to be a local looking to buy a place. Ski season is great and busy and there are...More

We have been coming to town for years and never get tired of walking around Main Street. Friendly shop owners and locals make anyone feel welcome.

We went in winter so the main attraction is the ski area but the Main Street shopping and restaurants are excellent. It would be a good place in summer or fall, too.

This town is quaint and a treasure in the preservation of natural resources and the historical buildings. With the absence of annoying street lights, bill boards, big signs, and lack of chain businesses a western version of Mayberry is alive and well to inspire us...More

We enjoyed the shops and restaurants in Telluride. We stayed in Mt Village and took the Gondola over several times.

Fun place to stroll. It’s basically an old mining town that has been preserved and made into a fashionable place to go ski or the film festival or the many other festivals that the town hold every weekend.

I've traveled, and this is one of the most beautiful Main Streets in the world. Good shops and restaurants all up and down its five or six blicks, and within a block or so in either direction -- but the main attraction is the historical...More

This was my first time here, and October is a good time to come. The leaves are out, and even towards the end of their peak. The Main Street is pretty cool but it’s tough to find a parking spot. I followed the street up...More

I usually target the first of October, plus or minus a week and you'll be really close to the peak. It looks great either way.
