The cliff dwellings at the Ute Mt. Tribal Park are a true find. See Ute wall paintings and petroglyphs as they were, and take your time: this secluded site gets far less visitors than Mesa Verde.

We heard about this tour through my Uncle - I don't think it would have come up in a search. An amazing contrast to Mesa Verde. Our guide was Ricky, we opted to travel in their van. He was so informative and so earnest. I...More

We opted to take the private tour with Gerald. It consisted of all the stops on the half day tour plus a drive to the mesa top for an overlook of most of the ancient pueblo sites. Amazing sites made more amazing by the in...More

Those things we cherish most are those that are surprising and unspoiled. Porcupine House is one of those unique experiences. You'll need to hire a Ute Mountain guide to take you in.

2 Ute Mountain Utes guided us in their van to see Ancestral Puebloan ruins that are in Ute land. This is an incredibly complex socio-political situation. These 2 people handled it with poise & aplomb. They were extremely well-informed about the archaeologic & anthropologic history...More

You have the option to take your own vechicle, don't do this if possible, the places they take you are dusty, rocky, and hard on your vechicle. Even with four wheel drive and a high wheel base you will get jarred, great possible of cutting...More

Very small non-smoking gambling area. Smoking section was much bigger and had a craps table. Was extremely smoky! Won $115 on quarter poker slots.

My friend and I took a road trip from the Midwest to several states out west to celebrate the 100th anniversary of our National Parks. In researching things to do I lucked out on finding this tour. I agree with a previous contributor that tripadvisor...More

We've done a lot of tours of native american sites (Hopes, Mesa Verde, Puebloans) but this is the best tour hands down. As others have mentioned, your tour guide is a native Ute. Our guide, Gerald, has archaelogical training so he had great detailed information...More

The full day tour sounds fantastic for my family. Based on some of the reviews discussing steep drop offs I'm wondering if it would be appropriate for my 7 & 9 year old children? Any input would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

I would not bring your children. My wife is 5 ft 2 inches and she had a hard time with the ladders.
