Whether you choose the ski school or private ski lessons be assured you are in excellent and experienced hands. I've been going to Beaver Creek since 1984 and grew up in the Beaver Creek Ski school. Starting out as a young child I was just a beginner but as I grew older and took private lessons my skiing rose to... More

Our goal was to get our 3 1/2 year old comfortable with the idea of skiing and after 3 days of ski school at Beaver Creek, she exceeded our expectations by a mile! She was too young for the "Ultimate" group so we put her in the regular group. I was so pleased. They took care of everything. There are... More

We had 3 days each, a first timer snowboard and level 7 skier. The first timer had a blast and was doing very well by the 3rd day. For myself, it seemed that they were looking to make level 5-6 feel good and allow them to be in the level 7. It held up my progression and lead to a... More

We did not book our private ski lessons before we got to Beaver Creek. Unfortunately we had to take group lessons. The first day we took an all day group which was fine for learning the basics; but a group is just too big. The second day we booked the smaller four person group (they sort you by level); we... Booked a private lesson in Vail mountain during our stay. Couldn't have had a better instructor! Dawes Wilson is great and has been teaching over 30+ years! Strongly recommend him even if you are an advanced skier. My husband took a snowboard private class with Scotty and had a great time too. Much gratitude to these guys.

If ski school means trailing after a French instructor with minimal English and a class of 8-12, then Vail Ski School will be like a breath of fresh air. Small groups, excellent technical tuition, lift priority (means a lot at weekends!) and tuition for advanced skiers. The downside is that multi-day lessons don't guarantee the same instructor.....and lessons are expensive... More

I'm a new skier, and can only compare to the lessons I took in Steamboat. In comparison, Beaver Creek was much more expensive, and the instructor wasn't near as good. For starters, they put me in too high a level group. I told them I thought it was too high for me, but they insisted I stay in the group... More

Ian Bruce is a fantastic ski instructor. His manner is kind and engaged, his approach is easy to grasp and most importantly, our 12 year old had a breakthrough in his skiing.

We enrolled our son in ski school for two days. He loved the small group, ski lessons, and how much he advanced; he asked to stay for a 3rd day. His instructor knew how to make it fun for the young group, keep it safe, advance their skills, and have them begging for more! I would definitely recommend ski school,... More

My 7 year old daughter was in a group lesson Dec 2016 practicing skidding and stopping up on the mountain. She got trampled by another instructor leading a long line of "singing teenagers". His ski got under her jacket, scraped her back, and caused a big abrasion. He did not stop to help her, and in addition, the ski school... More
