They really have amazing trails and are regularly maintaining them. Epic Adventures does a great job getting you up on a rental.

Great layout with back bowls, however unless you have fresh conditions the back bowls get chewed up. Vail Village is nice but unless your planning on hanging in the village all week I would suggest looking at other resorts for better value and similar skiing....More

We enjoyed everything we did in our two days: renting bikes and biking down Vail Pass on the bike trail, movies at Cinebistro, beers and kabucha tea at Vail Brewing, hiking to Eagle's Nest, eco discovery ropes course and roller coaster, the tubing and zip...More

Here's where you want to stay on a get-away weekend from Denver or a longer stay. Heading west on I-70 take the first exit coming off Vail Pass and you are there within minutes. Condos are available for rent (not for one night) and you...More

We love Vail for the skiing for the past 20 or so years. The bowls are amazing in powder. The food on the mountain continues to improve for those of us with food sensitivities and allergies. Signage is reliable in the various restaurants and staff...More

I attended a conference here in May. A spring snow storm came through the day before I arrived but it didn't damper plans at all. It was an amazing drive from Denver to Vail. The snow covered mountains in spring were a treat. There were...More

After a couple of decades of skiing, finally made it to Vail. Kids absolutely loved the bowls and did great. We were there for Christmas break staying at an interstate hotel down I-70 - the parking is an absolute nightmare at Vail. You must get...More

My husband & I are avid skiers & spend much of the winter skiing at Vail. This is big mountain skiing at its best. It may not be as 'steep & deep' as say Park City or Jackson Hole, but Vail offers vast terrain with...More

I will be in Vail from March 17-21. The weather seems to be warming up, with temperatures forecasted to reach high 50's. Will this temperature melt the snow and be a bad ski time? Will a few days of high 50's melt all the snow?????

Temperatures in the 50's will not melt all the snow. Hopefully the lows will be in the 30's. The top of the mountain is 11,500 above sea level so it will be colder there than in town or at the base. Toward the end of the... More

We will be in Vail the week of March 13-18th. The pricing for snowboard lessons is so high!!!! We want a semi private class for snowboarding with our two teenage boys but the school does NOTHING to help arrange the groups. Anyone interested in splitting the cost for snowboard lessons for one day

we are staying at the Marriott Lionsgate.....struggling to decide where to rent equipment from due to the proximity of the hotel to the lifts. I have read reviews on trip advisor that stated that the ski valet at the Marriott was less than desirable,(stored boots outside/wet/etc.....) but wanted to know if there was a rental place where we could walk the 150-400 yds to the gondola in our snow boots, get on the gondola, then get our boots and skis at the top (store our boots while skiing, then store our skis and and ski boots while going back to the hotel on the gondola)....any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Double Diamond, Skibase, Vail Sports are all within 100 yards of the gondola. But remember - this is Vail; it ain't cheap! Look online and in the village booklets for offers.
