Golf and food

Nice course, very challenging. Restaurant is good with typical clubhouse food and good beer selection.

I love wintonbury! Other than being my home course its one of the best public courses i have ever experienced (in the country). The course is very very well maintained, the staff is wonderful and the food is even great, but back to the golf. First the fairways look unforgiving but they are not, once you settle in you either... More

Golfers must play, real nice layout with a good mixture of tough and easier holes.Beautiful scenery, Must use a cart as it is quite hilly in spots. Overall nice track.

This is one of the top ranked public golf courses in the nation - I believe it is # 6. It is a challenging course, with fast greens and a great layout. I play it regularly. I think this is the best course in central Connecticut.

Wintonbury is a favorite golf course of ours because of the layout, excellent maintenance, and great views. The course accommodates all levels of golfer by offering a selection of tee off distances. The advanced GPS system ensures that you know distances and the locations of other carts. The clubhouse dining area offers a variety of food selections and there is... More

A Pete Dye course that is Par 70? With no railroad ties? Yes indeed. Wintonberry Hlils is all that and more. Routed wonderfully through an old dairy farm, the course does not disappoint. Elevation changes, sloping hills, the always tricky greens (running at 11 when I played) - they're all there. Even though there is not a water hazard to... More

My wife and I went to play nine holes. In the past, we played using the resident rate from her mother's local address because we are military and visiting for a few days. When I explained, and asked if I could pay for one full round (instead of 2 rounds and then receive 2 rain checks we would not use... More

Great course with super friendly staff. Actually plays like 2 different courses between the front and back nines.

This is one of the courses that my home club suggested that I play while visiting Hartford. They were right on target! Lots of rolling hills, streams, and a great overall layout. The local pro put me (a single) with another local couple, Kurt and Kathleen. As course "regulars", they made sure that I avoided many mistakes that come with... More
