Wells-Turner Memorial Library is the local Glastonbury library. The front of the building is the original and the back and more modern structure with large windows, wide stacks, and plenty of sitting area. Here are the things that I love about my library: - I can download audio and e-books to my kindle or iPhone via the internet - If... More

Needed to print Web enabled documents. Sent it to the Library printer - not knowing where the printer was and retrieving of the printer. Just asked where the printer was. Went above and beyond by stepping out from behind the counter, showing the printer and help me navigate how to retrieve of the print queue.

The library is reasonably well stocked, the staff is SUPER, A-1, 100% involved in their work and in helping you with your searches, checkout, etc. You can find a comfortable spot - but nothing really, really comfortable unfortunately. So why the 3 Stars?! It's like the state and the towns tier the libraries and Glastonbury was given the resources to... More

Welles Turner Library is an outstanding asset to the town of Glastonbury. It has a comprehensive catalogue of resources and an extremely helpful and courteous staff which make this very attractive library a first class example of all that a town library can be.

Great children's programs developed for specific age groups. I'm most familiar with the pre-school groups. Most of them fill up pretty quickly so register in advance. The Librarians are very capable and make everyone feel welcome.

A very modern library, with computer stations and plenty of quiet reading nooks. Good lighting in the shelves. The collection is first rate, including recorded books. The reference staff is helpful and knowledgeable.

Each library in Connecticut is a gem and this one is no exception. The adult and children's departments are on different floors. That is a big advantage since the visitors to the children's department seek company for their little ones and the adults seek solitude and quiet to settle down in a comfy chair and read their favourite book. I... More

The library is quiet, clean and has such a large selection of print and digital media. Kids walk here after school to study as well.

When I approached the librarian to ask if it was okay to set up my computer, she asked if I needed a private meeting room. Wow - yes! Room was small with enough room for my client meeting and no charge. Confidential conversation. How can you beat that. I probably should not be telling anyone about this as I may... More
