The Museum of Connecticut History is housed in a magnificent Beaux Arts building that also includes the State Supreme Court chamber, the Connecticut State Archives, and Library. The hallowed marble halls, corridors, and stairways are splendid, and much could be made of this little museum....More

This was an interesting little museum, but not something I would go too far out of my way for. It was informative, as I've been teaching my homeschooled teen about American History. It was also free, which was great. It's also small, and kind of...More

Having just been to a lecture here, the staff was very friendly. The Lecture room was toasty on a cold day and the building it's self is lovely.

I've been surprised to find so little about the Connecticut history... Hopefully, the Connecticut Constitution was there and some pictures about the African American contribution in some fileds of this State. I liked to see a display of many objects of daily life in the...More

The history of Connecticut is wonderfully shown in all of its glory, bring the past into the present with great art and history as one of the first constitution states! A must see for the whole family!

Bitterly cold and snowing on a Saturday morning, a good time to visit a museum at the State Capitol. Glad I did, very interesting even though it only covers Connecticut. The colt firearms section was excellent showing the development of , mainly handguns from mid...More
