Usually people come to the landing to launch their own boat in the river or take a boat tour of the river along the banks. There is more to the park than the dock. It is a great spot for fishing, playing with your dog,...More

Looking for a great place to visit with that special someone? Charter Oak is that place for a nice lunch and walk along the river and scenic flowers! Very nice a sunset and sunrise!

If you love fireworks photography and you are are around Hartford CT around July 4th this is the best place. They have the festival in downtown but to watch and capture fireworks with city skyline in back ground this is the best place. Less crowded...More

Very peaceful. A great place to eat your lunch and just watch the beautiful Connecticut River flow by. A great place for a brief respite in a hectic, busy city.
