Just great
Aug 2018 • Family
Clean, decent, great water, life guards, grass to play sports. Beach volleyball, a bar and also a lot of privacy and shades. Just a great place to relax during warmer times.

Fall visit over weekend
Oct 2017 • Couples
I was nearby Azibo when I decided to go over there for lunch and some rest. The place was deserted, and the "restaurant" was not serving any meals (I was there at 1:30 PM)! I believe they were not serving because the summer break was over.

The Azibo beach is a great alternative for someone how lives close-by. It has lifeguards and public toilets but for long stay I would bring some food also ( just in case ).

A large reservoir with a well-kept artificial beach
Jul 2017 • Family
Despite living in Portugal for many years I had never come here and it was a pleasant surprise. The lake is quite large and is located in natural surroundings with many trees. The city of Macedo has done a great job in creating an artificial beach with a large grassy area for sports and a café. There is ample parking for visitors and it is free. Everything looks neat and clean with people going around and picking up papers. I didn't go in the water because the day was overcast and a bit cool for July but grandchildren said that it was clean and not cold. For those who would like to walk and enjoy nature there is a path that borders the lake and continues for several kilometers. Egrets can be seen in the shallow water near the shore.

Wonderful place to come with your children's fluvial beach with lifeguard

...many activities in and out water🌊🏊🏽

...two little snackbars🍺🍷☕️🍔🥗🍕 with enough choice for pause and quickly to the water🌊 because the temperature🌞 is high enough to alarm you and your sun protector right beside you🌞

Have a wonderful day in the national🇵🇹#1 fluvial beach🌞🏊🏽

Amazing place to relax
Aug 2016 • Family
The water is clean and less cold than in the Atlantic, the grass is in perfect condition and is ideal for sunbathing, lots of things to do for adults and children alike.
Have a snack while the little ones splash out on the water or on the water slides, or just play on the sand without fear of waves (or sharks :).
Little wonder somePortuguese are coming from the seaside to enjoy this freshwater beaches.
If you feel like going for a walk, then follow the trail and breath in the polution free air and take in the peaceful scenery.

Amazing landscape and great facilities
Aug 2016 • Friends
Azibo has everything you need to enjoy your stay there. There is something for everyone. The landscape is beautiful and characteristic of that part of the country, then there is a great sand beach with water sports, terraces and restaurants, children's playground, picnic areas, and hiking trails and picturesque traditional villages.

You are 200km from the ocean, no problem come to Azibo beach...
Jun 2016
If you like tto go to the beach, Azibo is an excelent option. It has sand (not a big beach), you have grass, you have an enourmes platform to jump from to teh water, the lake is huge and very beautifull. You can rent small boats and travel on the lake, you even have a lifeguard and a small coffee if you want to buy an icecream...:). If you like you can go for a walk around the lake, your time will not be wasted.

Very clean family lake complex
We were there for a swim, coming back from Bragança. Access id very simple from A4 highway exit 37. Very clean sand beach and water. We also enjoyed a very high-level beach volleyball tournament. Parking is a bit hectic.
