Old church, beautiful windows

Such beautiful churches are what adds to the romanticism of the US countryside, and small cities. Its made of stone and wood, and is quite spacious inside.

This is one of the jewels of the New Haven Green. It's a beautiful old building with a history that goes back to the beginnings of this city. Meetings that changed the story of New Haven occurred here. One of the first places to break with the Puritan hierarchy of New England and also one with Abolitionist leanings. Stained glass... More

An interesting building located in an interesting place with an interesting history. The Green was once used as the main New Haven burial ground, but around 1821 the headstones were moved to the Grove Street Cemetery. Oddly, the bodies were not moved and are still below the Green. It is estimated that there are at least 5,000 people buried there,... More

We kind of stumbled upon this church and I'm glad we did. It was on the green and offered some great photography spots.

I have visited Trinity many times to meditate and pray, but I still can't get over how beautiful this church is. Architecturally it looks great with its huge red stone. Like Center Church the pews have doors designed to keep warm in the pew. The acoustics are amazing, especially when the organ is being played. The best feature of this... More

Nice welcoming church. I went to hear an organ concert that was great. The ushers were so polite and welcoming. Maybe I will go to church service sometime.

Ushers are very welcoming and escort you to your seat right as you walk in. Great music and inspired sermon. Everyone makes you feel welcome. Please drop by whenever you're near.

By the beauty and history of this jewel box of a church, Trinity on the green at chapel square in New Haven. Lovely choir and organ. Welooming and friendly congregants. Looking forward to my next visit when in the area. A short walk to Starbucks after the service David

This is a nice old building. The doors are open and it's actually really nice that they leave the doors open when most churches lock them to keep the homeless people out. Since the doors are open, you can also go in and look around. They got some pretty windows. It's not the kind of place that I would want... More

While visiting New Haven we have walked by this Trinity Church several times but decided to go in. The doors are always opened. Really worth stopping in to pray, meditate or just to get some quiet time from the city. There are Tiffany stained glass windows to enjoy. We were greeting by a church staff person who gave us an...
