It smells like old beer, and the crowd is young, but Toad's has been around forever and they have had some of the biggest and best bands/acts there. It is definitely a staple of the New Haven music scene.

This place is not well maintained, it's always dirty and the smoke chokes the living out of you. I am not coming back here and do not recommend it.

My 17 year old son, his friend and two girlfriends paid $160 for four tickets to see Amine perform in October. They showed up, waited in line and when entering the club and being pushed by people behind them - a lot of pushing going...More

Been to Toads a bunch of times to see some heavy bands. It's dirty and dark but the sound is good and they have booze, so overall it's a win.

If you are in CT, must check out this place - small venue and perfect for Friday/Saturday night - good music. If you get a chance to chk out, do visit the upstairs behind Toad's to listen to some good beat Monday night!

I like concerts at this venue because it is small and intimate, not a bad place to stand in the house. The bathrooms are tiny, but overall great place, great atmosphere. We went and saw Cardi B there last night, and had a great time!...More

I used to enjoy Toad's for its music and atmosphere. The last few years, I've witnessed a more unruly crowd and the stage is now protected by a fence. This is not to attack the college crowd because the club is located in the heart...More

Once you see a show at Toad's, all others will fall short. The chance to see your favorites bands right at the stage can't be beat. I can't even name all of the shows I've seen there but seeing people like Nugent, Warren Haynes, and...More
