We love SMNC. It's great for young and old alike. There's a small farm with livestock, nature trails, an amazing playground, an observatory, an art museum, tons of seasonal activities: maple syrup in the spring, harvest fest in the fall, etc.

If you go with young children be sure not to miss the playground and everyone should visit the exotic animals building! I believe all the animals in it are rescues.

Wonderful for kids, not overwhelming, just the right amount of animals to keep young children interested. Playground after a walk that isn't too challenging and that most kids can do.
