Great local Historical society. This little town has quite a history and the historical society gives great short tours and information if you have a couple of hours a few times a year. They keep records of the goings on in the town too.

Ok, I admit I am biased when I write this review. My daughter is a descendant of Captain David Judson, although I am not. Our travel plans brought us through the area, and when I learned from my mother-in-law (who was born a Judson) about this house, we had to stop. I am so glad we did! We had the... More

This was a remarkable experience. Off the beaten path but well worth the time. The small museum is filled with items not found elsewhere and the house is well maintained. The staff is well informed and enthusiastic.

The house has a large collection of furniture, clocks, weaving and spinning artifacts along with everyday items used by occupants during this time period. The attached museum holds civil war articles, native american objects and artifacts from the founding of Stratford into it's early years. There... More

Judson House is part of Stratford's Historic District. It's a museum with house tours depicting life in the 1700's. The house is full of period items on two floors, including a working loom. The museum hours are limited and mostly in the warm weather months.
