Disappointed after my first visit several years ago. They serve chilled wines in plastic shovels meant for a day at the beach. When I tried to ask the hostess about the wine list she asked me why I didn't look it up on my phone.

We love it. Go with friends for good laughs and memories. Go with wife to connect and enjoy the views as we enjoy a nice bottle of wine. Bring your own food and make it even more fun. Pot luck is always a good thing here!

Whether a family celebration or a relaxing afternoon/evening with friends, we always love going to Gouveia Vineyards. The view to beautiful and the sunsets wonderful!! If it is too hot or too cool outside, there is an indoor area which is open to all.

This is one of the most gorgeous CT vineyards I have visited. The building itself is very nice with a wood/log cabin feel and a ton of natural light. The views are gorgeous because the building is higher off the ground. A small walk away is a lake with a dock where we ate some sandwiches and actually saw a... More

We enjoyed ourselves immensely. The wine was good and the surroundings were beautiful. We brought in food and ate inside and then took our bottle to the patio outside!

We arrived and were amazed at the beauty of this place - set on a hill, the view over the orchard and nearby mountains was stunning. We came here for a tasting, but if we went back we would bring an entire lunch - it is bring your own food and grab a table. The woman at the tasting bar... More

Set high on a hill with a panoramic view of the mountains and rolling hills covered in rows of grapes you can almost envision yourself in a French countryside. You can sip your wine outdoors under the pergola next to the garden or at the tables on the lawn and enjoy the view. You can go into the beautiful Stone... More

The time to visit this place is in the summer when you get the full effect. Who wants to be trapped inside when you can be sipping the nectar of the Gods alongside a lush vineyard? The best thing is "come as you are." Ball gown, jeans, post work happy hour....it's really chill. If you want a memorable place to... More

I have visited Gouveia Vineyards a few times and each time I go am just fixated on the view. The grounds are gorgeous, located in Wallingford on top of a hill. There are a few buildings, for gatherings and special occasions. Last time I went was fall for friends birthday and had a blast. Gouveia makes probably one of the... More

I stopped in on a weekend for a wine tasting and this place is like a huge indoor tailgate in progress. Tons of people with their trays of food packed in wall to wall waiting for people to give up tables. The wine tasting gave me a slop-the-hogs feeling as we were server en masse at the bar.
