Better then New York

The theater is the most beautiful that I have ever gone to. Exquisite!! Have enjoyed plays, opera and a ballet. Felt like you were in New York.

Very disappointed in this show, even more disappointed with the 2 annoying narrators that spoke before each little performance, one translating in Chinese & the other in English & Chinese, narrating every tiny little thing that was going to happen, what happened to...let the audience create their own little scenario & let the show be continuous?? The show was sooo... More

On Sunday, March 12, 2017, we were part of a bus tour group that attended the final Broadway road cast performance of "The Sound of Music" at this theater. For my wife and I it was our first visit to the Palace Theater. Our tour host had shared its history with us on the bus ride from Massachusetts. Hearing all... More

As season subscribers this was part of our package. I thought, oh how boring. IT WAS PHENOMENAL! It certainly was updated from the original. There were some new songs. The sets were beautiful and the changes were carried out so smoothly and well! The Mother Abbess had a wonderful voice and she and Maria complemented each other so as they... More

Took a bus group to The Palace Theater in Waterbury for "The Sound of Music." Best production ever. Nicest theater ever. Wonderful sight lines from the seats.

Gorgeously restored in magnificent detail to its early 1900's gilded splendor. Seats are good, lobby is expansive, drinks and snacks are available. I have seen a couple of touring Broadway companies at the Palace. Tickets run on the expensive side, but still a better deal than going down to NYC. I got a good deal by getting tickets on "Black... This theater is both aesthetically beautiful and convenient. Restored not long ago, its gilded exquisite interior is absolutely lovely and the plush seats are comfortable. Nearby parking is reasonable and the shows at this venue are top notch. Ticket prices are also much less expensive than venues in New York. Great theater and experience for a fraction of the cost... Went to a play there and was pleasantly surprised when I stepped inside. The theater was in such great shape, and having seats near the stage was great. The play was outstanding. They have an area where you can get drinks and chat. One of the best theaters in Connecticut. Will be attending more functions there when available.
