Such a great presentation from our tour guide! A beautiful home with such great history. We went in November so the gardens were put to sleep but still lovely, nonetheless.

I really enjoyed my tour of the Roseland Cottage. The cottage is beautiful and the tour guide very informative. Depending on the time of year the gardens are beautiful and the Fall Foliage is amazing. This year, however, the foliage wasn't the best. If you...More

A well maintained house. There were only four people on the tour so it was like a private party. I like that they have you put on booties over you shoes which then allows you to walk every where as opposed to the up to...More

Beautiful and unique property. Fabulous tour of house by very enthusiastic and knowledgeable guide. Gardens, although small, are also worth checking out.

This is a nice old house and the grounds were well kept. I enjoy local history so this was interesting to see.

Sometimes the pictures do not match reality. Not this time. The garden is lovely. The house is everything you are expecting. The informative guided tour pulls it all together. Well worth the visit.

Was looking for something to do to in the area for an hour and I found this on TripAdvisor. Really nice tour of an old property. You can go into the rooms themselves and see the remaining artifacts up close. There was admission, but it...More

I reviewed this wonderful house in July, 2013. This is our third visit to Historic New England's Roseland Cottage, but our first visit in the sun. The first two times it was raining so hard, that we never got to enjoy the beautiful gardens in...More

This historical site is located in Woodstock, CT in the "Quiet Corner" of the state. It is a well preserved look into how the upper class was able to live in the country during the summer months in the 1800's.
