We went as a family during school break. The Docent was very good and knowledgeable, and took the time to answer all of our six-year-old’s questions. It was well worth the visit on a cold December day.

Very authentic and informative. All staff are dressed in period clothing. they share the view of the era and the chores and daily routines. The buildings and grounds are well preserved. Visit around the holidays and it is decorated to reflect the times.

The guide, Chris, was excellent and probably one of the best guides I have heard. My teenagers loved this. The buildings have been well maintained and are fascinating. This took about 45 minutes and is well worth the time.

A friendly tour staff and a wonderful place to visit. Very informed staff and a real gem of a house. Video was a good introduction to John Dickinson's life and the family home. Walk around the grounds for a nice tour.

A must see for history buffs. I learned so much during this tour. You start with a short film and then read various plaques about those who rented from the Dickinsons'. Then a short stroll to the refurbished home of John Dickinson, who served as...More

There is no place to buy food, and the nearest restaurants are in Dover about a fifteen minute drive from the plantation. If you must eat, I suggest that you give ample time because the... More
