Check the website for special events. We were here and they had a special event and had a lot of old trucks, equip, went and guns. Even our 17 year old daughter enjoyed it. Everyone is so willing to talk to you about what's going on.

There are quite a few cannon to see of various types and calibers. But, they're not the original equipment--rather they're modern equivalents Each one has a descriptive information plaque to read. There's a fair bit of walking from the parking lot. But, there are areas...More

Just love walking thru Ft. Miles. So much history here, so much from the world wars. At certain times of the year you can also go on tours of the bunker 519. Great stories of the history here.

Great little area with lots of old WW2 guns and buildings. The museum is small but very informative. The area is pet friendly, and you can walk or ride a bike freely throughout the whole Fort!

Unexpected find in the park. Informative notices explaining the history. Huge bunker emplacements. Also site of early anti-submarine detection systems.

We were at the park last year but did not know about the wonderful tours of the bunker. So we took it this year and were delighted.

Questions & AnswersAsk a question
You enter the park by car and the cost is by carload. $10 out of state $5 in state. There are no restaurants in the park but many in the town of Lewes. It is a great place to hike, bike or camp but bring you lunch or food.

The only admission is to enter Cape Henlopen State Park which is $5 for DE residents and $10 for non-residents. I believe admission is free in the winter. The best time to visit Fort Miles is for an enactment weekend. Check... More
