The beach was busy even on a Sunday in mid-September. The tides were unusually high and swimming was restricted but it was beautiful just to walk along the edge of the water and take in the sights. I was impressed how clean it was too.

beautiful beach and surf. we lucked out with good weather and able to swim in mid Sept. Obviously local staff (beach cleaning crew, life guards, security patrols among many) take great pride in their beautiful beachfront.

Been coming 39 years. Love it. Dolly's and Candy Kitchen are foundations when you know you've arrived. Great to sit and people watch.

This is a great, clean beach. We really enjoyed our day on the beach. You don't have to walk for miles to get to the water, so it's easy to get back to the boardwalk for the restrooms or a snack.

Technically no. There are public bathrooms but it is posted that you are not supposed to change in them. I think people often break the rules, though. There definitely aren't lockers. The State parks both at Cape Henlopen... More
