This was an impulse stop on our way home from a trip: "Hey there's a beach on the right" I was not expecting boardwalk entertainment, or a Caribbean deserted sand beach, and what Woodland Beach delivered was pretty sad from either expectation. It is a...More

This is one of my go to places when we're out on the bike. It's a neat little community of eclectic houses. All mixed from old trailers to really nice homes. They just put in a great metal fishing pier to replace the old wooden...More

Living in Delaware for years and this was the first time we visited. We were so excited to go so we took the 45 minute drive up. The fishing pier was really nice but we were SO saddened by the trash. It was everywhere. Sign...More

What a great beach to visit when you really want to unwind! You can fish or just sit and enjoy the beach. This is not a "touristy" place, so bring your own food and be prepared to use one of the porta potties when nature...More

Small beach and I've never tried swimming here, but there is a terrific pier that extends into the Delaware River (or is it the Bay at this location?) great for fishing, watching the sun rise, or just the boats passing by. Never crowded. It's also...More

Beach area is small but good enough to take a stroll, very scenic along the coastline and the roadside . Living in Wilmington, this is the closest spot for sunrise/set in place of other Dover beaches.

Splashing around on the sand beach is ok ~ lots of people do it. Water shoes are a very good idea. Not a real swiming beach though.

I think it's just clean up after them. we saw people with dogs, but just know that some of the area is muddy, not sandy.
