We saw a lot of really neat animals in this zoo! It's great because it's located right in the park, where you can walk by the creek before or after, and parking is easy. Price is reasonable. Had no idea there were so many things inside our little local zoo!

this zoo is wonderful for the entire famiily: it is especially good for young children. the reason it is so great is because there is also a playground near the zoo: there is alot of beautiful flowers, and walking paths in addition to lots of animals. I thaink it is great: But, watch out for the cobblestone hill.

perfect size! this zoo is small enough that by the time you've seen everything, the kids are tired and done. has enough variety of animals to keep a young one interested. excellent zookeepers that will answer any questions you have and they frequently have animal "close encounters" throughout the zoo.

A nice enough place as far as it goes, but there's not much to see here. This is not a zoo where you're going to spend a lot of time. On our first visit we walked around for about a half an hour and realized we were back at the entrance. Surely we must have missed a turn to more... More

This is a great zoo to take young children. It is not large, easily walkable by young kids and has a variety of animals. They also usually have interactive table where you can feel an eagle feather or look at other objects. They also have some opportunities to watch a turtle fed and have a goat petting area. Don't expect... More

We loved our visit and were surprised that the zoo was free. The zoo was perfect in size for families with toddlers/small children. Will visit again.

Its size is one of its best features! If you've got kids under 8 years old, don't go to the expense to take them to a big zoo. They will get tired and lose interest. The Brandywine Zoo is just the right size for their energy level and attention span - and your budget!

Don't skip out on this great zoo because of its size... its a great zoo! Come here and make it what it is! Don't judge it based on its size but rather the great quality of life these animals have here and the knowledge about the environment and its animals! Support small zoos! Brandywine Zoo is a gem, I don't... More

Small, yet managable with small children. Plenty of shade, animals are up close and nice variety. Excellent afternoon. we didn't have the stroller with us, so grandparents had to carry the 2 year old grandson. It was a hot day, but not unpleasant at all with shade and misting. The animals are very close and observable. The educational presentation on... More

Small zoo and nicely maintained, and at only $5 for an adult entrance, affordable. However, it became apparent to us within minutes that something was wrong. The Andean Condor - a huge bird - was in an enclosure that would barely let it hop, never mind fly. Same for the bald eagle, which flew in to the sides of its... More
