I used to run 20 miles plus a week on the trail. There were shady areas and areas in full sun. Since the construction on 98 there is far less shade. Juvenile trees have been planted in place of the trees that provided meaningful shade....More

If u want to use an old rail bed next to a 6 lane noisy highway this is the place for you. The trail goes from lakeland to Bartow. There is plenty of parking. Don't forget to lock your car.

This trail follows what looks like an abandoned railroad right of way. The trail is paved in macadam and well maintained. It parallels US Route 98 to the east side of the highway. A good place for a bike ride!

Feel safe riding your bike or walking, trail runs from Lakeland to Bartow and is really nice and not secluded.

Great for biking or jogging. Nice paved path too. Take water with you. If you are walking, comfortable shoes.

Well done trial with restrooms and shelters. Kind of boring after awhile. Unfortunately, the road expansion will have multi-lane traffic running beside it with NO BUFFER! Breath deep those exhaust fumes.
