Went in the morning with granddaughter & her friend and stayed until after the sunset! It was an outstanding day! Girls snorkeled, swam, collected shells and walked the beautiful beach! We saw so much wildlife: gopher turtles, bobcat, black snake, and beautiful dolphins just off shore before sunset!

This is the best beach in the area. Plenty of parking, not as crowded as Vanderbilt beach and there are lots of shells to collect, almost as good as Sanibel with no tolls. And the there are the turtles.

We always enjoy our time at this beach. One of the treasures of SW Florida. Beach access is easy from the walkway directly to the beach. Plenty of shells and a gentle dirf from the Gulf.

You can go world wide and never find a nicer beach. The water is azure blue. Warm and calm. There is parking, bathroom facilities, cold drinks and ice cream to buy, umbrellas, cabanas and chairs to rent. Great sand, good for walking and shells galore. You must watch out for the turtles. Look under your car before you pull out.

Loved spending time on the beach. Great sand and surf although after a storm had lots of shells. Beautiful sunsets, perfect for walking and relaxing. Snacks available

Wonderful beach. Snack bar, decent restrooms, and great informational hut manned by friendly volunteers to answer questions about shells and native animals. A little gem! Fee for parking/entrance.

The drive to preserve has awesome houses. Hike through the mangrove to the beach is worth the mile. Shells everywhere and the view is spectacular

Barefoot Beach is a hidden treasure, It offers: easy access to parking, clean facilities, boardwalks, and an expansive beach where shelling is plentiful. There is an entrance fee for the non-resident. When planning an entire day's visit the shop offers beverages, snacks and protection from the sun's rays for a fee. The big attraction at this beach is you have... More
