We ran Moon Over Croom trail race Saturday night and then rode the bike path through the forest Sunday morning. It was beautiful, mostly shady and clean. I haven't been on a trail with so many road crossings but they were well marked and I...More

We stopped for a quick visit to the Ridge Manor Trailhead on Croom Rital Road I would have loved to walk down to the river but I had my elderly mother with me and she wasn't up to it. They have a paved path, too....More

Nice walk on the trails. We went early which was nice because we did not encounter any other people until on our way out. Also, going that early the bugs weren't out yet. That also started on our way out. Terrible signage. The caves have...More

This is a beautiful state forest. The mountain bike trails are well maintained and take you from pine barrens to hardwood hammocks. Drunken monkey was a thrill.

I've been to this forest three times now and I can't get enough of it. The woods are lovely and deep. The trails are well marked. It's a perfect place for an off road hiking or running adventure.

Large sites, and well-maintained. Right off the Withlacoochee Rail Trail and near the Croom Mountain Biking Trails. Friendly camp host and many like-minded cycling neighbors. Watch out for curious armadillos and enthusiastic screech owls if you are in a tent/bikepacking. Water & electric at these...More

We love walking through this state forest. We go at least once a week. There is always something new to see. It's safe and family friendly. Enjoy.

Wow! Love mountain bike riding here. One of our favorite places to enjoy riding in the winter. Lots of deer and shady. Zoom down the hill and get the heart pumping back up it. Sandy in spots makes it even more of an adventure going...More

I believe you would need to contact Florida Parks and Recreation Department to get the answer. I don't shoot so I am unsure.

Yes dogs are allowed on a leash. However if you have well behaved dogs, let them off the leash and have a great time. I had two boxers and we walked the woods all the time without a leash. They had a blast and so did I.
