Clearwater Marine is a small aquarium - the big draw is Winter the dolphin that lost its tail. They have a surgery center. The only animals they keep are those that are injured to the point they could not be released back into the wild....More

Good family attraction. You will see Winter the dolphin, the star of the movie Dolphin Tales. A lot of the movie was filmed at this aquarium. Not a large aquarium but has plenty to see. Most of the animals on display are rescued. Admission includes...More

I was advised by taxi drivers, hotel staff and locals alike to visit the aquarium especially as it was the assumed birthday of their main attraction, Winter the dolphin. Unfortunately after all the hype the experience was more than disappointing. We sat at the viewing...More

We're sorry to see that Clearwater Marine Aquarium wasn't quite what you expected, Kevin. It is a rather common misconception that Winter needs her prosthetic tail to swim; in fact, she can swim just fine without it, though she does swim in a side-to-side manner,...More

This is NOT an entertain attraction - it IS a working animal rehab facility. If you'd like to see the good work being done here, then "come on down". Yes, it's hot and humid; yes, it is often crowded; and yes, it is barebones but...More

We thoroughly enjoyed the Clearwater Marine Aquarium! Grandchild wanted to see "Winter" the dolphin star of the movie "A Dolphin's Tale". Interesting interactive presentations on every animal the center has, with a focus on rehabilitation. All proceeds help with this mission. There are 2 floors...More

This place was very entertaining and relaxing. Not a bad price, not to crowded, & was a relaxing trip. The show was fun and a lot to see around the whole place. Will definitely make it back.

You should be able to enter the aquarium at anytime before your scheduled events. I wouldn't worry about it too much because it doesn't take that long to see the whole aquarium.
