Our visit to Flamingo Gardens was fabulous. We had peacocks eating out of our hands. We took the 20 minute tram tour and it was like a great trip through different types of palm trees, bananas and native plants. The facility was in good repair and very clean. Do yourself a favor and visit Flamingo Gardens.

Many of our Airbnb guest have come back with reports about this hidden S. Florida gem. So we finally visited. Relaxing and very old Florida helps you understand the transformation of Hollywood, Broward county, Port Everglades and so much more. Great for history buffs as well as gardeners looking for ideas of native species. Learn about pioneer entrepreneurs Floyd and... More

We spent a few hours at Flamingo Gardens waiting for our afternoon flight out of FLL. It was very fascinating to see the flamingos as well as the other animals free roaming the facility. It seems they are doing a wonderful service trying to rehabilitate and provide sanctuary for many different species. Thank you!

Not many animals to watch. Nice trail to go for a walk if you want to see plants and trees. I did not meet my expectations.

We were pleasantly surprised with our family visit to Flamingo Gardens this March break. Our group of 6 included 2 seniors and 2 curious kids (10 and 12) and this botanical garden provided exactly the low key, old Florida style outdoor experience we were looking for. If you are looking for a theme park style experience you are in the... More

Visit did not meet our expectations. Research before led us to think this would be a highlight tour. Sight is run by a not-for-profit organization that needs more resources and support. Garden areas seem to be lacking high quality maintenance and management. Individuals, organizations, and Boy Scouts seem to contribute a lot of support, but for a large area it... More

When the sun hides behind the clouds or you are tired of lazing about head to this wonderful botanical gardens/animal rescue park. And be sure to take the tram as a start on your visit. The guide will point out the fascinating flora as well as give an overview of the park. Be sure to visit the flaming area and... More

Very healthy flamingos but do no expect a huge flock. Lots of peacock freely roaming around. Installations are worn out. This place would need a lot of tender loving care. A poor bear should be given to a biggest zoo with bigger installation. The historical house is not up to museology actual norms. Birds of prey are now their main... More

The first time I went was a year or so after Hurricane Wilma and the natural area was pretty much a mess - interesting, but lots of trees down, we left hoping for the best. I went again about 5 years later and Nature had done her thing! The forest was lush and the grounds had recovered beautifully. What an... More

Such a fantastic visit! Nothing like seeing animals that have been rescued and are being cared for. toddler loved the peacocks roaming around, and the flamingos! There's a huge bird exhibit, eagles too! A nice range of owl's which was incredible! We loved the lunch from their food truck; very good! We can't wait to come back with the grandparents!
