Despite renovations the observatory still holds little stargazing meetings (Wednesday's 7-10pm when the college is open) it's definitely worth checking out on a clear evening! All the volunteers and staff are friendly and passionate! It was really awesome to see the Orion Nebula up close!

Buehler Planetarium has plenty of parking, they have a concession and bathroom facilities. The Observatory is among the best in South Florida.

The Planetarium is right on the college campus. The students giving the lecture, take the telescopes outside in the evening. The lecture is very informative set against the night sky. The cost is free, everything else is entertaining..

We have been to other shows recently and this one is the best. Very informative and entertaining. The price is reasonable and the kids should enjoy it.

Local planetarium featuring day and evening hours when telescopes are taken outdoors for patrons to "view" the sky. It is very interesting and enjoyable - if you are in to watching the sky, stars and planets.

The viewing of the nights stars and other planetary phenomena always makes for an interesting evening. The planetarium, slide shows and evening viewings are made interesting for one that does not dabble in astronomy.

My wife and I come here periodically, usually on weekend evenings to watch the planetarium events. Sometimes there is a short documentary. We also like the night sky lecture with the sky projection inside the planetarium dome. And we've been here on nights when the...More

The show was a little slow and perhaps beyond what children would understand. A little too technical. However, viewing the stars in the reclined seats was quite spectacular. The high light afterwards was viewing Saturn and Mars through the telescope outdoors.

How old do kids need to be to enjoy the planetarium?

At a minimum, I would think 5 years old. Also, the child must have the ability to sit still for at least one hour and not be afraid of the dark.
