The Spady Cultural Heritage Museum, a non-profit organization located in Delray Beach, Florida, is dedicated to discovering, collecting and sharing the African-American history and heritage of Florida. The Spady plays host to rotating exhibits featuring contributions of the African-, Haitian- and Caribbean-American cultures to the artistic landscape of Florida and the U.S., as well as a full schedule of community events, the Ride & Remember Trolley Tour, annual festivals, public education programs and children’s activities. It is the ONLY museum of its kind in Palm Beach County. Hours: 11 a.m. - 4 p.m., Tuesday-Saturday. Closed Sundays,Mondays & Holidays. Admission: $10; Members are free.

The building has an old Spanish decor, it is well maintained the staff does a good job. It's one black girl's telling the history of colored slaves (runaway's) and seminoles ( native american's ranaway from reservation). Their history on the area.

I do not recommend this museum. We walked in and in a few minutes we walked out. There is not much to see here. It is located off The main drag of Atlantic Avenue. There was no one to direct us or to inform us...More

Very interesting collection of photos and stories of the founding fathers of Delray Beach. Great staff, who are very knowledgeable and helpful. Everyone should check out this wonderful place.
