All of the hype is true. It was so much fun! Great restaurants, great activities, great people, and at least when I was there over Memorial Day Weekend, it was open container as well.

We have been visiting Destin, and HarborWalk Village and Marina, for years. This year we were confronted with a parking fee of $20 no matter if we just wanted lunch at Harry T’s for 90 minutes or an all day fishing charter. We were told by the attendant that it didn’t matter if we only wanted to have lunch, it would be $20.

This is a disgustingly greedy practice that cost Harry T’s lunch patrons. We will no longer be able to go to the Marina for an evening stroll to watch the fishing boats come in either. It certainly is not worth the money.

Sadly this practice is becoming more prevalent in the Destin / 30a area.

$ 20.00 PARKING FEE. we were not happy. Tourist trap and Wyndham people gave us wrong directions. it was quite a hike to get to the boats that we were suppose to take

So much to see and do, plenty of food, shopping and amazing water / ocean excursions. Not to mention amazing views. Great if you are photographer are looking for that perfect Instagram picture! I highly recommend Maguires Irish pub across the street, as well as Harry Ts (inside harbor walk). Destin Snorkel, and boogies are great for planing a day out on the water. Good prices and their staff is friendly and helpful! In my opinion, HarborWalk Village is an absolute must if you are in Destin or Fort Walton Beach. The only kind I could think of is parking can be tight and sometimes pricey. If you’re going for the day by all means it’s worth it. But if you’re only going for a short amount of time, I would suggest finding another place to park. It could fill up quick as well. Other than that, I highly recommend coming here.

Visit this place every time I’m in the Destin area. Went for some shopping and strolling the pier on a Tuesday afternoon. Lots of places closed-or unattended. Spent over $200 buying a few souvenirs then HAD TO PAY $20 JUST TO PARK! Notice is not given about the parking fee until you are already in the PARKING LOT!

Been going to this place since it was built. Parking used to be free, then it was raised to $10 with the ability to get $10 off at any business on the walk. Now the price to park is $20 with no rebate for shopping. This place only offers a couple of eating establishments and overpriced clothing shops, nothing worth paying $20 to park. Too many places in Destin with free parking for me to go back to this place.

Stopped by for diner @ Margaretaville. Got table immediately without reservations. Food service was very very slow and the food tasted like frozen entrees. Fast food quality not higher quality you expect for the price. Worst surprise came when leaving parking lot. $20 for parking. Had no idea of charge until leaving. Will definitely never return. Have been to Margaritaville in Key West, & Panama City prior for drinks but this was first time for food. Drinks are good but for food, find another restaurant.

Facilities, except parking, excellent.
Boat ride on Southern Star is a must. Saw at least a dozen dolphins.
Restaurants excellent, although pricy.
Parking is apallingly bad anf ridiculously high priced.
Unlikely to return.

This is the biggest tourist trap we’ve ever experienced. It starts with the overpriced $20 parking which you have no choice but to pay. Once you turn into the street to get to the village, you are in the parking area with no warning and have no choice but to pay $20. After we parked, we were greeted by a couple of guys who were working at the “welcome center” which turned out to be another scam from Wyndam hotel sales people who we’re trying to pressure us into going to a timeshare presentation. Shopping stores are meh, the food options are overpriced and mediocre at best. Not much better than carnival food. The place has potential but reeks of dead fish and scan artists.

There is something for nearly everyone in your group at Harbor Walk - young and old. There is a mixture of retail shops, a marina, midway games, parades, fireworks, and eateries. Each day of the week there is something different planned during the peak tourist season. We visited on a Tuesday night, which featured a concert on the main stage and a Mardi Gras parade in August! THROW ME SOME BEADS, MISTER!! For the brave-at-heart, there is a zipline that goes over the midsection of the Harbor Walk. The views of the harbor are nice, as well. We will put this back on our list of "must dos" on our next trip to Destin. PS ... there is also a website that has a list of events. Be sure and check it out prior to your arrival in Destin in order to maximize your stay.
