We took some time walk along the river early one morning. It wasn't busy at all, and since it was before 10:30am, there wasn't much open along the walk. But it was nice to take in the beautiful boats. It's a pleasant walk.

This must have been a good place to walk a few years ago, it is completely out of date. Most of the business places along this walk are closed, not many places to sit down or shade out from the sun light. City of Fort Lauderdale should re-vitalize it, otherwise it is just going to die soon.

The river walk takes you past many different types of attractions. It is like a park within the city with some attractions thrown in. My favorite is to stop for lunch.

The riverwalk had great potential but it never panned out. it is a nice walk along the new river but with the exception of the Briny Pub (which is a nice casual place to sit, eat, and watch the boats go by), everything else (restaurants, bars, retailers, movie theater, etc.) has shut down. Its like a ghost town. Seems like... More

We went over to the river walk twice. The first time out of curiosity. It was HOT and there were few places to sit and even less shade. Both could be remedied without spending a lot of money. The second time we went over was to get on a tour boat.

This place has a lot of things to satisfy everyone in your party and is two minutes away from the famous Los Olas.

Weekend Jazz concerts, nice places to eat and drink along the way. Fun watching boat traffic. Many spots to rest and relax. Only a few blocks off Las Olas BLVD.

We stumbled upon the riverwalk on a recent visit. I was wishing I had learned about it prior to our trip so I could have made better plans to enjoy it. What a great way to get away from the hustle and bustle. Such a nice scenic pathway!

We took the walk on Sunday morning and really enjoyed the happy family atmosphere and various attractions. We will certainly return and the next time we will take a picnic!
