Spent a few hours walking the paths on our first vacation day here. Nice views of nature, Saw some lizards and a raccoon. The trails weave in and out of the woods so you can see the waterways as well. We took time to enter the beach area as well which has an under the road tunnel access. Just $6... More

Walk, bike, canoe kayak, access to the beach. Paths are wooded FL style, a fresh water canal, as well as a walk along the intercoastal waterway

We bicycled along the paved roads in this park and then sat at a wood picnic table next to the inter coastal waterway. We felt that we were far from the hustle and bustle of the nearby tourist strip along Florida Route A1A. The sky was sunny, but it is easy to find shade.

On a Sunday morning we borrowed some bikes from our hotel and took a spin through this park. After paying the $2 entrance fee per person we cruised around the park. It was pretty quiet except for a 5K race that was just ending. There were picnic areas, playgrounds, and nature trails. The section of the park along the intercoastal... More

I only went the one time but I thought it was way too wild for someone like me. :) Spiders dangling over your head and crabs running around your feet. Maybe we just tried the wrong path because some of the reviews on here definitely make me want to try again.

A visit to this park makes you realize how beautiful natural Florida really is. Once you are ready to relax just walk across the street (or go through the tunnel) and head to the beach to soak up the Florida sunshine.

I have been going here all my life. Great trails, bike and boat rentals and lots of wildlife to see! A must see in Ft. Lauderdale!

Despite several years of vacationing in Ft. Lauderdale, we never ventured to Birch State Park. Now, we won't ever miss an opportunity to walk or bike in here again! The scenery is wonderful and a portion is right on the intercoastal canal. About two miles around. Look forward to biking it next year (you can get rentals in the park).

Kayaking OK for beginners but not for experienced kayakers. The route has just one straight waterway with not much to see.

The trails were all very pretty but, if you don't know where you are going you will get lost. It's also a good way to get to the beach. We saw lots of wild life and we had a good time.
