We recently attended the Masterworks concert at Barbra Mann Hall. The SWFL symphony is amazing with master Maestro Nir Kabaretti at helm. This night features an up and coming pianist David Fung, This concert celebrated 56 years of symphony and 30 years at the Barbara Mann hall. The pieces were from the first concert there! Seating is without flaw. We... More

My wife is a classical pianist and organist and a music director at one of our local churches. We are both avid concert goers and are delighted with the offerings of the Southwest Florida Symphony. Whether pops, or classical, the performances are first-rate and well worth attending. We try to support many of our local musical arts organizations and truly... More

My wife and I have held season tickets to the Masterworks concerts for two years and have just renewed our subscription for the third year. The conductor, who presents an optional lecture before each performance, is a splendid educator with a fine sense of humor, and the musicians are top notch. Our attendance is an important feature of our Florida... More

We recently attended a performance of Beethoven's Third Symphony ("Eroica") by the Southwest Florida Symphony Orchestra. The format featured an engaging lecture for the first half of the program ("The Path to 'Eroica'"), followed by the actual piece. This approach - educational, humorous, expert - worked beautifully. The musicians and conductor received a standing ovation - well deserved - from... More

Went looking for a bit of culture while visiting in-laws in Cape Coral and ended up at the pops concert featuring the music of Rodgers & Hammerstein -- what a treat! The symphony sounded great and the guest vocalist - Lisa Vroman - was fantastic. We will definitely check out what they are doing when we are down next year.

As a musician I support the arts and love going to hear the Symphony orchestra. Whether it is a pops concert of Beatles songs or a classical concert by Beethoven, you are sure to be impressed by their performance.

Visiting my parents in Fort Myers, they have season tickets to the Barbara Mann Performing Arts Hall, and we went to see "The Sounds of Musicals" in March 2014 - songs from Oklahoma, Carousel, South Pacific - lots of foot tapping, clapping and singing along. The feature singers were fantastic - a lovely night at the theater!!!!!

This symphony has a long season. So much of Florida is just Jan. Feb. and March. Southwest Florida Symphony performs from November through April. We recently saw a Marvin Hamlisch review. It was beautiful. The music did this great composer justice. The singers who joined them for this occasion were wonderful. How lucky to have this group in southwest Florida.

From the full classical concerts at the Barbara B. Mann, through the smaller chamber concerts at BIG Arts, Sanibel or Shell Point Retirement Village, to the Pops concerts with a variety of popular guest artists you can't go wrong with a night out with the SWFLSO!
