The palms were originally planted by Thomas Edison - he was WAY ahead of his time re greenhouse gases. I remember this beautiful, palm-lined boulevard from when I visited Fort Myers forty years ago. It still retains the grandness and graciousness to this day.

Although not a tourist destination in itself, the Boulevard makes a very pretty route, lined with many palms and attractive planting. At the southern end of the road there are man6 good restaurants.

You know you are in Florida when you drive down McGregor Boulevard. These palm tress are tall. Some great restaurants are on this road also. Try Cristof's.

We stumbled upon McGregor Blvd trying to avoid some of the traffic on another main thoroughfare. Parts of it are average but other sections such as the one pictured are lovely neighborhoods with beautiful homes and they feel serene.
