The water looked more like the Atlantic, not as many waves, but the water was not clear, surrounding lakes ran into the Gulf at this park. Was nice, but murky water.

This is a huge State Park spread out over one of the keys on the west side of Florida. You can visit the beach both on the Gulf side and on the ocean side. The beach is beautiful, white sand. Many trees, lots to see...More

Lovely beach, tram ride included in admission, tram driver was extremely helpful and thoughtful. Busier beach than some. Beautiful mangroves. Bathrooms at beach and at parking lot, a little bit smelly -- composting toilets, but with running water at taps. About 3/4 mile walk back...More

Sometimes the best laid plans don't work out as expected. This was such a visit. Our intention was to spend the day at the Little Hickory Island Beach. However, our arrival of after 10:30 a.m. on a Thursday in mid February almost guaranteed no parking...More

It's a bit of a hike out to the beach, but once you get there it is lovely, quiet and great for walking. The sand is lovely and water beautiful!

First time visiting while staying in Fort Meyers Beach. You can take the bus or they have plenty of parking. A very beautiful nature park. They have a tram that takes you to the isolated beaches. A great way to have a quiet day on...More

White sand, blue water, and pleasant people. Not too rowdy or loud here, great walking paths as well as a lovely beach. Don't forget to wear sunscreen!

We've visited twice and have enjoyed the wide beach and friendly staff in the gift shop. Parking, restrooms, are all convenient. There is a tram to take you to one end of the beach where you can rent chairs and umbrellas. We opted for the...More

When you go to the beach you pay for parking and then you park . That is where you will see what you can rent. I have seen others outside the park and not sure how much or how long you can rent them .
