Arrived by boat. Walked around. Took lots of pictures. Bring your own food and drink. The small vendor isn't always open or may have run out of everything. There are chair and toy rentals available.

The sand was the color you long for on a Florida vacation. The surf was great for swimming and looking for sea life. The $8 admission is a deal for the amenities provided plus the option to leave and return the same day. Tram to...More

If you are looking for a place to kayak, check out Lover's Key. There is a 2.5 mile loop (5 miles total) in the estuary that is beautiful and easy to navigate. With distances plainly marked, it's easy to follow and you may turn around...More

We went to the park on a whim, after quite a bit of rain that day, and it was well worth the stop!! Pretty quiet, as you would expect, but shells unlike any other on the island, and so many whole ones! Beautiful place to...More

Great place for Shelling. The area is secluded and has bathroom. We saw Manatees on the way into the park. There is a pulled off to your right. To get in park it's $8 for car load. Very nice place

Love this park! Great for shelling, beach, kayaking, biking and enjoying nature. Always fun. My only negative is the rental cost for kayaks. For a family it gets very expensive to enjoy a few hours of simple family fun. The people are very friendly and the...More

Love to walk the beach and just hang out. Lovely. Secluded but close to town. Lots of wildlife. Really a hidden treasure.

Lovers Key has the secluded beach area you have been looking for. It goes on for miles. You can rent kayaks to go into the inland water ways. There is a store to purchase a snack or souvenirs.

Very nice beach and the sand is perfect for making sand castles. So white and soft. There are areas where you can park and spend time on the beach for free, but the $8 entrance fee is worth it. Much less crowded and more peaceful.

The beach should not be crowded at that time. It is a long walk, so using the tram would be recommended. Contact the park to inquire how long they run; hopefully it will be until sunset. There is a large gazebo that could... More
