Great AM Hike

I got there early, maybe around 8am. Only $4 to get into the park. Spent about 3 hours walking the paths. Only saw a few people. A great, relaxing place to get away.

If you think you have been to a great shelling beach, think again because lovers key is by far the best I have ever been to. The varieties are endless, the scenery superb and the beach endless ( nearly). The trolley to the beach is a very nice touch, especially after walking for several hours looking for the best shell... I wanted to see a manatee in the wild. There is a spot just outside the park where manatees have been spotted, but we didn't see any. So, we rented a kayak and toured the estuary. The rental process was very easy and the staff friendly. A staff member who was just passing by stopped to help us get our... More

We used a kayak for two and made our way to the bay and back into the mangove canals. When we launched we were with about 3 or more manatees. We saw an alligator, osprey, herons and fish. When we returned the kayak we headed to the beach on the tram. What a great service this is! Bathrooms at the... More

Lots of fishing, jet ski and picnicking. The best part was if you walk aways it was very very private. Great views at sunset. I will definitely return soon. Take beach chair, towel , bottle wine:) life is good.

Lovers Key State Park Recreational Trails Three trails: Black Island Tail, Paddling Trail, and Eagle Trail. We rented bikes at the Concession and biked the Black Island Trail and then came back and went over the bridge along the road to the south beach. We went late afternoon and received a discount on the bike rental which was perfect to... More

Beautiful and secluded, capturing you as wildlife stroll casually by... fishermen and couples with their toes in the sand... quiet and serene.

My introduction to this park was by bicycle, making it possible to take well kept walking/riding trails plus a two mile ride on the beach. I saw lots of water fowl. There's an alligator pond, favorite site to see manitees. and clearly a favorite beach for Florida sun worshippers. Anyone in the Fort Myers, Bonita Springs area will want to... More

I love this beach because it never seems overcrowded. Beautiful water and lots of shells. Love the tram ride and bathrooms are easily accesible
